Building Regulations Packages for Every House Type on Site. Nationwide.

Why Developers Trust ArchEvolve With Technical Design

Errors in technical drawings are repeated on every plot that uses them, so small mistakes become expensive. ArchEvolve is MCIAT-chartered, a discipline built around technical design, and coordinates every house type in one Revit model so details, schedules and drawings agree.

Technical Design and Related Services

For single buildings, see our building regulations drawings and construction drawings services. Housing schemes reach this stage after residential development design and planning consent. If conditions still need clearing, our planning condition discharge service runs alongside.

Housing Development Technical Design Services, Plot by Plot

Housing development technical design services turn a consented scheme into drawings that Building Control, warranty providers and contractors can work from. On a multi-unit site that means a Building Regulations package for every house and flat type, plot-specific site drawings, construction details that repeat cleanly across plots, and coordination with structural, drainage and services engineers. Because the same details are used many times over, accuracy here protects build cost, programme and the warranty sign-off you need to sell each home.

Common challenges

How ArchEvolve solves them

How an ArchEvolve Project Works

Technical design for a housing development follows seven stages, taking a consented scheme to a coordinated construction package for every plot.

Consent Review
We review the planning approval, its conditions and any approved materials so the technical design does not drift from what was consented.

Construction Strategy
We agree the build method, wall and roof build-ups, foundation approach and specification with you and your contractor before detailing begins.

Coordinated Technical Drawings From One 3D Model

In 2D CAD, each house type drawing is updated by hand and errors creep in between plots. ArchEvolve develops every house type in one Revit model, so a change to a detail updates every plan, section and schedule that uses it.
3D Details for Site

Revit and Enscape views of tricky junctions help site teams understand how roofs, walls and floors fit together, reducing questions and rework during the build.

Faster Approval Responses

Comments from Building Control or a warranty provider are resolved once in the model and reissued across every affected house type at the same time.

Regulation Knowledge

We design to the Approved Documents covering structure, fire, sound, ventilation, energy, overheating and access, and work with building control teams across the country.

Consistent Details Throughout

Alex Page prepares the technical package personally, so the details used on the first plot are exactly the details used on the last.

Housing Technical Design Across the UK

ArchEvolve prepares technical design packages for housing developers anywhere in the UK, working remotely over Teams with Building Control and warranty providers nationwide.

The service covers a Building Regulations package for every house and flat type, plot-specific drawings, construction details, window and door schedules, coordination of engineers’ designs, the Building Control submission and responses to warranty provider queries through to construction issue.

In England, new homes must meet the Approved Documents covering structure, fire safety, ventilation, sound, energy efficiency, overheating, access and electric vehicle charging, among others. Our building regulations drawings page explains the process for individual buildings.

Yes. In England you can choose the local authority or a registered building control approver to check the plans and inspect the work. We prepare the submission to suit whichever route you choose and respond to their comments during the approval stage.

A warranty is not a Building Regulations requirement, but most mortgage lenders expect new homes to carry one from a provider such as NHBC or LABC Warranty. Warranty providers have their own technical standards, so we build their requirements into the details from the start.

Yes. Technical design leads directly into plot-specific construction drawings, schedules and details for tender and building. Keeping both stages in one Revit model means what Building Control approved is exactly what the contractor builds.

Yes. Under Part E in England, separating walls and floors between new attached homes and flats must meet sound insulation standards, normally shown by pre-completion testing or by using approved Robust Details. We detail separating construction to suit the route you choose.

SAP calculations are needed for every new home to show compliance with Part L and are prepared by an accredited energy assessor. We coordinate with your assessor early so wall, floor and roof build-ups, glazing and ventilation strategy support compliance rather than fight it.

Yes. On the Kentish Town project, planning permission was already secured and our role was building control compliance and a full suite of construction drawings. We review the consented drawings, flag any risks, then develop the technical package.
